december 10th

Tomorrow we have a test and Im very nervous because I do not feel prepared. I will study as much as I can tonight and hopefully its enough. But today we went over more information so hopefully its enough for me to go over with. I will see how I do and how I feel about it tomorrow. Until then here are some notes I got in class today...
  • Immigration concerns in Europe;
  • Population growth in Europe fueled by immigration from other regions of the world, a trend disliked by many Europeans
  • Biggest fear is that the host country's culture will be lost because of the amount of immigrants overpowering the community.
  • immigrants might take over things like churches or other cultural things citizens have.

Monday 12/3/18

In class today, we listened to the  podcast.  The podcast talked about immigration and prosecution. We talked about how the word asylum means a safe home. Immigrants come to the United States looking for a safe home. In 1951, Jews from Europe sailed a ship to the United States to escape the Nazis, but the United States denied them asylum. They all returned to Europe and were scattered into concentration camps. Most of them were also killed in the nazi concentration camps. We also talked about how Trump is limiting the amount of people who are coming to the U.S. Even if they are in danger.
